Penn & Teller: About the Creators
Penn and Teller are the self-made comedy magic duo that has taken the world by storm with their outrageous illusions and mind-boggling tricks. The pair began generating attention in 1975, performing live shows in numerous venues throughout the United States.
By the 1980s, Penn and Teller were running an Off-Broadway production, as well as an Emmy-award winning show on PBS titled, Penn and Teller Go Public. The critically-acclaimed productions led to many television appearances for Penn and Teller on popular shows like The Today Show, Saturday Night Live, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
In the 1990s, the charming duo toured their show nationally and continued to make guest appearances on countless TV programs.
Penn and Teller sparked controversy with their Showtime network television show, Bullsh*t! The program featured segments discussing subjects such as gun control, weight loss, PETA, the war on drugs, and other political hot buttons.
In 2001, Penn and Teller made a home for their extraordinary and sometime scandalous magic show in Las Vegas at the Rio Hotel & Casino. Penn and Teller continue to “wow” audiences five nights a week with their legendary magic show.
