Celebrate Mexican Independence Day with a Latin show, a margarita in hand and a Vegas good time

Mexican Independence Day is September 16 and Las Vegas is celebrating THIS weekend with Latin-infused entertainment, music and food. Here is how to celebrate Mexican Independence Day in Las Vegas:

Jennifer Lopez
J. Lo will light up the Zappos Theater with her show Jennifer Lopez: All I Have at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Get ready to celebrate with Lopez’s hit songs like “On The Floor,” “Jenny From The Block,” “Get Right” and “Love Don’t Cost A Thing.” She’ll be performing Sept. 14-16

Enrique Iglesias
Over at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias will bring fan favorites like “Escape,” “Hero,” “Para Que La Vida,” “Bailamos” and more to the stage. He will play September 15-16.

Luis Miguel
One of the most successful artists in Latin American history, Luis Miguel will show off his talents with two performances at The Coloseum at Caesars Palace September 13-14. He will return to the Strip for an impressive ninth year as part of his ¡México Por Siempre! tour.

Ilusion Mental
Illusionist, Santiago Michel will star in the all-new Spanish language show Ilusion Mental at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. He’ll take you through his mind-bending tricks in a 65-minute show you won’t believe. Showtimes are Thursday, Saturday – Monday, 5:30 p.m. There will be an additional 5:30 p.m. performance on Sept. 14.

The LINQ Promenade
The LINQ Promenade will have quite a bit of celebrations including traditional Mariachis on Saturday and Sunday from 4-6 p.m. Mexican-American artist Olmeca will also perform on September 16 from 8-10 p.m. on The LINQ Promenade Fountain Stage.

O’Shea’s will offer drink specials including Miller Lite or Coors Light Drafts for $3, Jell-O Shots for $3, shots of Jameson, Patron Reposado, Fireball or Jägermeister for $5 and assorted craft beers for $4.

Spanish Steps
The Spanish Steps at Caesars Palace will come alive with music, carnival games, foosball, a dunk tank and more September 13-16.

Omnia Nightclub
You can bet Vegas nightclubs will be celebrating the day. Omnia at Caesars Palace will host a weekend-long party with DJ Gusto and Maria Romano on Sept. 13, Calvin Harris and Generic on Sept. 14. Party Favor in the mani club on Sept 14 with DJ OB in the Heart of Omnia. The weekend ends with Deseo Latin Sundays one-year anniversary party with DJ Exile and Maria Romano.

Vista Bar and Alto Bar
Enjoy holiday drink specials at Vista Bar and Alto Bar in Caesars palace. There will also be a DJ and go-go dancers from 9 p.m. - 3 a.m. on Sept. 13-16.

Montecristo Cigar Bar
In celebration of Mexican Independence Day, Montecristo Cigar Bar will have a cigar roller on hand Saturday and Sunday, as well as drink specials.

Carnaval Court
Enjoy free live music, drink specials, games, photo ops and swag at Carnaval Court at Caesars Palace.

The Oyster Bar
Stop by the Oyster Bar for specialty tostada mix ceviche and specials on ceviche oysters. The bar will also serve specials on Modelo, Michelada Corona and Tequila Herradura for the holiday weekend.

Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas
Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas will celebrate the day with street tacos, live entertainment and more on Sunday, Sept. 16.

The Scene Pool at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino
Cool off from the heat of the sexy Latin entertainment with a dip at The Scene Pool at Planet Hollywood. Enjoy a free concert Sept. 15 from Amara Le Negra, as well as drink specials and go-go dancers.

Carlos ’N Charlie’s
For a fun Spring Break-like atmosphere look no farther than Carlos ’N Charlie’s at Flamingo Las Vegas. You can celebrate with a large selection of margaritas and other frozen drinks.

Guy Fieri’s El Burro Borracho
If you’re looking for a taste of Mexico head to Guy Fieri’s El Burro Borracho. Here you can try trash can nachos or the classic guacamole - perfect for National Guacamole Day on Sept. 16.

Cabo Wabo Cantina
Cabo Wabo Cantina will celebrate Mexican Independence Day by serving authentic Mexican platter offered from Sept. 14-16. Executive Chef Tacho Kneeland has created a traditional Mexican grilled platter, parrillada, made with BBQ pork ribs, carne asada, achiote chicken and chorizo, served with grilled onions, jalapeños, rice, beans and flour tortillas. Drink selections include Cabo Wabo’s house margaritas, including the CW Margarita, made with Cabo Wabo tequila and grand mariner; the Cocorita, made with Cabo Wabo Blanco Tequila, lime juice, crème of coconut, rimmed with freshly toasted coconut.
