Vegas’s Broadway-style revue is 100 shows strong

The Cocktail Cabaret, an intimate club experience, recently celebrated its 100th show on June 29. The vintage Vegas revue performs in the iconic Cleopatra’s Barge at Caesars Palace, and features both modern standards and original music. The show is a tribute to Las Vegas productions of the past, as well a contemporary, upbeat ensemble piece that embraces the heart and soul of the entertainment capital. Enhancing the cocktail hour, this is the perfect preface to going to dinner, attending the theater, celebrating a special event or enjoying a fun night on the Strip.

The stellar cast includes Broadway and Las Vegas Strip veterans Niki Scalera (Hairspray, Tarzan and Footloose) and Eric Jordan Young (Rock of Ages, Vegas! The Show, Ragtime, CHICAGO, Seussical the Musical, Look of Love and Dreamgirls). Maren Wade, who appeared on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, has performed extensively on the Strip, including Pin Up and 50 Shades! The Parody. Multilingual classical/pop crossover vocalist Daniel Emmet has commanded stages from The Staples Center in Los Angeles to the Palais Todesco in Vienna. Concert pianist Philip Fortenberry, known for performing at The Kennedy Center and White House, as well as solo tours, leads the band.

“Everyone wants to feel special by dressing up and sharing an evening of creativity and talent. Vegas is a party town, and this is a great way to kick-start the evening with a bow tie and a splash of sparkle,” says Young.  “This is a magical experience and one I will never forget.”

“This is amazing, to be able to perform at Cleopatra’s Barge, and such an honor,” agrees Scalera. “So many greats have performed in this room over the years, and I am thrilled to be among that caliber of performers.”

The original opening song introduces the show, and the audience enjoys the music with the cast and band’s touches. Bluesy interpretations, unique duos, powerful vocals and a touch of humor add to the repertoire.

Sip a cocktail (or two) and begin an evening of fun on the Strip. The Cocktail Cabaret performs Wednesdays through Saturdays at 6pm.
